VSQA Members donate resources for Poultney Slate Quarry Park

Several VSQA Members have donated time, materials and money for a new Poultney, VT public park. Rupe Slate, Camara Slate Products and Taran Brothers Slate have stepped forward with donations and to help guide the project. The Slate Quarry Park Group, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit made up of business leaders and community members. The group's Facebook page explains that the park is being purchased and built with Private Funding and Public Grants. The About page goes on to say:

"This means that we will need your help. Any donations are tax exempt. Come join us in helping us raise the funds needed to bring a Public Park to the Village of Poultney. A Park where the community can gather, read, write, exhibit art, perform and be...A Community. It might seem an overwhelming challenge, but all we need is 100 people to raise $650 each or 200 people to raise $325 each or 300 people to raise $217 each.... and so on.Together we can do this! We've already received pledges totaling $20,000. Let's build it Poultney!"
